To showcase its continued commitment to building and sustaining a safe and healthy workplace, Republic Cement held a Hauler Safety Forum in Menarco Tower last October 12, 2023. Attended by our trucking and logistics partners, the forum served as platform to discuss current safety policies, best practices, as well as safety strategies for 2024.
Other topics covered during the forum were transport checks and truck maintenance, defensive driving, and RA 11058 or the Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof.
Our partner haulers made their safety pledge as well, promising to continue demonstrating safety behaviors and achieving safety excellence.
We also gave recognition to our partner contractors for their outstanding safety performance. Hubert Arevalo, Jr., of Solid Supreme Development Corporation, Rogelio Felomino of Megatransport Inc., and Edford Ico of Giga Trucking Services won the Vest of the Best for Q2 2023. Meanwhile, Solid Supreme Development Corporation was given the Star Hauler Award.
