Talisay LGU Visits Republic Cement Batangas Plant to Explore Sustainable Waste Diversion

Republic Cement Batangas Plant Manager Erwin Cruz with Mayor Nestor Natanauan, Administrator Aldred Anciado, MENRO Peter Mirania, and newly-elected barangay officials.

The local government unit of Talisay led by Hon. Mayor Nestor D. Natanauan visited Republic Cement Batangas Plant last November 13, 2023 to understand how Republic Cement co-process residual plastic wastes collected from Municipalities and discuss partnership for a sustainable and efficient waste diversion for the municipality. During the visit, Talisay LGU representatives were taken on a tour around the plant and introduced to ecoloop, Republic Cement’s official resource recovery and co-processing arm.

Throughout the years, Republic Cement has been partnering with various LGUs and companies to help them in their sustainability journey, providing waste diversion to co-processing as a better option than landfilling.
